2005 New Mexico Heroes Run

The Third Annual "New Mexico Heroes Run" took place on September 11, 2005.  There were over 200 motorcycles in attendance, consisting of riders from Law Enforcement, Fire & Public Safety and Military.  The ride started in 2003, as a tribute to the fallen members of Fire, Rescue, Law Enforcement and Military, who made the ultimate sacrifice for OUR COUNTRY!  For the past 3 years, the entry fee and related sales for the ride have been set aside in order to be able to purchase and erect a permanent monument on the Albuquerque Civic Plaza.

Kudos go out to the Ride's Chairman, Tim Fassler of the Albuquerque Police Department's Auto Theft Unit. Tim was the founding chairman and developer of the ride and he continues to be it's primary force in promoting, producing and leading the
"New Mexico Heroes Run."  There is now talk of making this ride more than a statewide event, and promoting it as a regional, and hopefully in the future, a national, multi-day event.

The photographs below are just a few from the 2005 event which included escort riders from the Albuquerque Police Department, Las Cruces Police Department, New Mexico State Police and was lead by a trailer pulling an out of service WWII Military motorcycle to represent all "fallen riders."
